Tips and Insights

Over our 28 years of explaining, we've accumulated a wealth of valuable information that doesn't fit neatly under our web site tabs. This body of knowledge includes some tools we have developed, approaches that have worked well, other approaches that failed, and a large amount of miscellany that could be called "accumulated wisdom" or perhaps more accurately "battle scars"

We organized this section as topic threads that invite further insights and comments. We welcome your additions.

We also welcome questions and suggestions for new topics.

PRESS RELEASE: The Bishop Company Expands to Puerto Rico

Kalamazoo , MI -- "I am very impressed with your team's work ... The procedure is less complex and even fun to read." Not a typical manager's response to work instructions, but one The Bishop Company heard recently following its expansion into Puerto Rico. Since October 2005, Bishop has offered localized service in Puerto Rico specializing in custom, multilingual solutions.

Offering responsive creative services and a team of full-time designers and writers, Bishop has built long-term service partnerships that allow them to learn the client's technology, and then create customized documents that advocate for the person who needs to use those documents -- even writing them in other languages when necessary.

The Bishop Company of Puerto Rico, LLC does this by emphasizing graphics to explain complex subjects, allowing the user to both understand and perform difficult processes with greater ease. Technical manuals, job aids, help systems, marketing and instructional materials, and training programs have all profited from The Bishop Company's ability to explain. For over 25 years, clients in industry, healthcare, and government have used Bishop services to help people work easier, safer, and faster. For more information, visit www.explainers.com.
