PRESS RELEASE: The Bishop Company Wins WMS-STC Technical Competition Awards
Grand Rapids, MI -- The Bishop Company of Kalamazoo, MI received five awards from the West Michigan Shores chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (WMS-STC). The awards are part of WMS-STC's annual competition which honors exemplary work in the technical communication field.
Nan Creamer and Dan Bayer of The Bishop Company and Eugene Clark of Eaton Corporation won the Distinguished award for their technical poster that assists users in identifying Eaton truck transmission models.
Kaylynn Mischley and Parker Brown of The Bishop Company and Ken Hill of Delphi Corporation won the Distinguished award for their technical publication that allows users to replace the pinion seal and bushing on a rack and pinion assembly in an automobile.
Brown also collaborated with Patrick Sweeney of The Bishop Company and Christopher Ward of Bronson Healthcare Group on technical illustrations selected for an Excellence award. These illustrations educate and instruct caregivers, nurses, and patients on medical procedures.
Creamer teamed up with Les Graf and Monica Platt of Eaton Corporation on the technical publication Factory Direct Program selected for an Excellence award. This publication helps users easily understand clutch ordering, core allowance and procedures, component breakdown, return procedures, and select and find various clutches.
Creamer also collaborated with Megan Roth of The Bishop Company and Jack Patterson of Eaton Corporation on the online MD Tools selected for an Excellence award. MD Tools guides customers to possible mobile diagnostic solutions and educates the sales force on MD Tools.
The two Distinguished award entries will be continuing on to the annual Society for Technical Communication's (STC) International competition.
